As a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and child of a military family, Christopher Greenlaw has lived all across Canada. Growing up as a transient allowed him to encounter Canada’s various rail services from coast to coast. As a railway historian, Christopher penned a 2007 book on VIA Rail as a result of his lifelong passion for passenger trains.

After retiring as an Aerospace Control Officer, Christopher earned a Master’s Degree in History from Wilfrid Laurier University. He currently serves as the secretary and archivist for the VIA Historical Association while simultaneously curating and managing the CBG Memorial Railway Library & Archives.
